Lady Gaga Announces “The Monster Ball” Tour

Lady Gaga is set to begin her North American tour, entitled “The Monster Ball” in late November. 

According to Lady Gaga‘s official site:

The tour will begin on November 27 in Montreal, and will wind up on January 21, 2010 in Gaga’s hometown, New York City. Kid Cudi will be the supporting act for the entire tour.

Says Lady Gaga, “The Haus of Gaga had been designing ‘The Monster Ball’ for premiere in 2010 at the O2 Arena in London, but due to diligent work and preparation, ‘The Monster Ball’ will begin on November 27 in Montreal. ‘The Monster Ball’ is a multimedia artistic experience in the style of the first-ever ‘pop electro opera.’”

Lady Gaga will release a re-package of her breakthrough album, The Fame, called The Fame Monster, earlier that week, on November 23. The re-package will include eight brand new songs, including the club-banging first single “Bad Romance.” Continues Lady Gaga, “A message to all my little monsters: The Fame Monster will come out four days before the first live show. You have exactly 96 hours to learn all of the lyrics so you can sing along. Dress accordingly.”

Beyonce is Billboard’s Woman of the Year

Beyonce was recently honored with the 2009 Billboard Woman of the Year award, which is awarded in celebration of the most powerful and talented women in the music business. Go Bey!

Beyonce then interviewed with Sirius radio host and longstanding Oprah bff, Gayle King. During the interview, she talks “Single Ladies,” her thoughts on being a role model, and Kanye West’s VMA outburst, to which she replied “I knew his intentions, I knew he was standing up for art.”

SHYNE sees the SUN SHINE from Outside Prison Walls Today

Today, October 6th rapper Jamal Shyne Barrows is being released from prison. Shyne was sentenced to 10 years in jail following his arrest for the December 27, 1999 shooting at a Club New York, a Manhattan nightclub.

Shyne is definitely a talented rapper, let’s see if the 10 years went towards further developing his craft—only time will tell until then, remember the “Bonnie & Shyne” video:

Saturday Night Live Obama Skit

Well, on the political front Saturday Night Live’s Obama skit addressed some of the right winged commentary that Obama is full of socialist agenda and that the Prez has not accomplished anything in his time in office. After displaying a DONE and NOT DONE checklist, its noted that there is a bright side and lists the following accomplishments:

• Cash for clunkers program stimulated the economy…. for Japan
• Killed a fly on tv
• Brought a White Police Officer and Black Professor together for a beer
